I know it’s easy to get caught up in the craziness of everyday life. Most days it feels like you can’t even get a few minutes for yourself. Here are some quick and easy tips to take better care of your body and mind. These tips will hardly take any time from your daily routine but will improve your quality of life.
DRINK WATER
When you wake up, drink water. Before anything else. Do this while you’re getting ready for work or school. It will help give you energy, improve digestion, and curb sugar or salt cravings. It will slowly become part of your morning routine without taking up any extra time. Also, try squeezing in some lemon for some extra health benefits.
THINK OF THREE THINGS YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR
One of the first things I like to do in the morning is take a deep breath and think of three things I am grateful for.
It can be as simple as waking up in a cozy bed with blankets, not having to set an alarm that morning, or thinking about that first cup of coffee.
When I think about the simple things that bring me joy first thing, I will continue to be grateful for life’s little pleasures throughout the day.

DELETE SOCIAL MEDIA FOR A DAY
This step will give you back so much more time in your day. I have made myself do this because I can find myself mindlessly scrolling through things that are not benefiting me in any way. It can clear up a notable amount of time if I’m not worried about checking an app every time I pick up my phone. This leaves me with more time to accomplish other things that are more productive.
If you enjoy doing this for a day, try 3 times a week. Or try going stretches of a week at a time without social media and see how you feel. When you cut out social media every so often, you might find you like your life better without it. Almost a year ago I stopped logging into Facebook as much. Instead of checking it multiple times a day, now I log on for less than 10 minutes once every couple weeks. SPEAK ALOUD AFFIRMATIONS
You might think I’m crazy, but after I say my morning affirmations I feel so much better and my self-confidence immediately increases.
We are constantly our worst critics, and put ourselves down more than anybody else ever would. Speak kindness and positivity into your life and your outlook will change.
Some of my favorites are:
“There are no limits on what I can achieve.”
“I am in charge of my happiness.”
“I have the power to change and I welcome it.”

I hope you give some of these a try, and make sure to let me know if any of these tips help improve your day!
